Pack your bags and preheat the oven—we spent the week Baking Around Europe! This week of summer camp took young bakers on a delicious adventure through some of Europe’s most beloved culinary traditions. From flaky French Croissants to classic Italian Biscotti, every day was filled with hands-on learning, sweet treats, and plenty of fun!

Our journey began in Italy, where campers mixed, shaped, and baked Nonna’s Biscotti, Italian Bread, and Citrus Chocolate Cookies. They learned that great baking starts with patience and precision, and a little extra chocolate never hurts!

Next stop: Germany! The kitchen was filled with the warm scent of spices as campers baked Ginger Snaps and created showstopping Black Forest Cakes.

In France, campers discovered the magic of laminated dough while creating buttery Croissants from scratch. They also baked a French Apple Cake, learning techniques that transformed simple ingredients into something magnifique!

Our European vacation continued with a visit to Norway, where campers prepared Havregrynskugler, a traditional no-bake chocolate oat ball treat. This recipe proved that delicious desserts don’t always require an oven!

Of course, baking camp is about more than recipes. Throughout the week, we had fun with creative challenges, outdoor games, and plenty of opportunities to build confidence in the kitchen!

Watching these young bakers grow their skills and try new foods was truly a joy! By the end of the week we traveled across Europe without ever leaving the kitchen, creating memories that will last long after the last crumb is gone!
