Rustic Chic Summer Wedding with Southern Charm

Liz and Anthony’s gorgeous summer wedding at Hewitt Oaks was full of beautiful Southern charm with sweetly simple details for an effortless elegance. The altar showcased a chiffon draping that suspended from the live oak’s branches. Liz’s bouquet was a beautiful sight of dazzling flowers and greenery including blush heirloom roses, hydrangeas, burgundy chrysanthemums, and eucalyptus.

Adults and children alike had plenty of entertainment during cocktail hour with a giant chess set and Jenga on the lawn. Rider’s Courtyard was illuminated with glowing café lights suspended from the stunning oak trees, high-top tables covered in blush linens, and topped with candles accented by eucalyptus. A custom-designed beverage bar and an Indulgent Crudité Station featured local artisan foods, cheeses, and the fruits of the season.

The reception was held in the luxurious Gracie Ballroom accented by natural greens suspended from the chandeliers. Dinner featured His and Hers Food Stations with something for everyone! The bride chose a pasta bar with Shrimp Scampi, Pesto Roasted Chicken Alfredo, and Marinara with Ziti. The groom’s buffet included a Meat and Potatoes Bar, including Herb Braised Short Ribs and roasted vegetables. For a sweet ending to this rustic chic celebration, guests enjoyed a 2-tiered cake decorated with blush roses and simple greenery atop a beautiful silver cake stand. It was a truly charming and elegant Lowcountry wedding!
