Whisks, rolling pins, and plenty of smiles! Our Sweet & Savory Baking Camp at Hewitt Oaks was a delightful blend of creativity, teamwork, and delicious flavors. Over four fun-filled days, campers explored both indulgent desserts and savory favorites—learning new skills and making sweet memories along the way!

To kick off the first day, the kitchen filled with the warm aroma of Cherry Amaretto Pound Cake. Campers also began working on Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls, carefully mixing, rolling, and shaping each one.

On Day 2, those cinnamon rolls baked to golden perfection, ready to enjoy fresh from the oven. Then it was time to whip up Chocolate-Stuffed Cupcakes, complete with fluffy buttercream filling and rich chocolate ganache.

We always love to mix learning with a little friendly competition! Day 3 brought the savory side of baking with Fabulous Focaccia Bread, topped with flavorful garlic and fresh herbs. Later, campers teamed up for a spaghetti-and-marshmallow building challenge, crafting towers and houses while sharing plenty of laughs.

On the final day, campers rolled out dough for homemade Ham & Cheese Hot Pockets, mastering the art of shaping and sealing. As the grand finale of their camp experience, each child went home with a goodie bag filled with treats they had made throughout the week.

There’s something truly special about watching kids gain confidence in the kitchen, try new things, and work together—all while having a blast! We’re so proud of these talented young bakers!
